On November 7, Benthic opened its technological center at the UFRJ Science Park. The company, a member of the Acteon Group, is a global leader in offshore geotechnical investigations and in geosciences consulting. The CEO of the company, Steve Pywell, was present at the opening and talked about the company´s history and the technologies developed.
Located in Huston, Benthic started its activities in Australia and today it has some subsidiaries in Europe as well and now one in Brazil. For Fábio Pereira, the company’s regional manager, the decision to bring the company to the Park aims at strengthening its innovation capacity. “The objective of bringing Benthic to the UFRJ Science Park is to set up a technological center that allows the creation of an appropriate environment for the development of the technologies of the company”, says Fábio.
