The Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), via the UFRJ Science Park and the COPPE / UFRJ Laboratory of Computational Methods in Engineering (Laboratório de Métodos Computacionais em Engenharia – LAMCE), opened on August 9 the AIR Centre | Rio de Janeiro, a project that aims to foster new knowledge about climate changes and issues related to the Atlantic, connecting deep waters technologies and space technologies through global cooperation. The goal of the program is to identify areas of mutual scientific and technological interest that address the regional priorities and global challenges. The event was attended by the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education from Portugal, Manuel Heitor. During the event, it was presented the Living Lab program, developed by the Park to transform itself into a living urban laboratory of application, use and study of innovative solutions for the development of cities. The opening of the AIR Centre was broadcast live and its content is available on the Facebook page of the UFRJ Science Park.
