Registrations are open for the prize Ações Afirmativas of UFRJ, project supported by the Park

Until December 15, 2017, registrations are open for the prize Ações Afirmativas (Affirmative Actions) of UFRJ, a partnership with UFRJ Pro-Rectory of Post-Graduate studies and Research (PR 2) and the UFRJ Science Park. The project aims to support the best academic works developed in the UFRJ postgraduate programs. They should have a social impact and deal with data related to the inclusion of marginalized groups. Alternatively, they can be about improving the life of marginalized groups. Ações Afirmativas will award cash prizes of 2.000, 3.000 and 7.000 reais to the best three candidates, respectively, as well as 1.000 reais to two honorable mentions. Criteria include novelty and innovative character of the work, depth of the analyses involved and potential for practical applicability.
