Aiming at expanding both its physical and technological infrastructure and getting included in an important innovation ecosystem of the city of Rio de Janeiro, SENAI CETIQT transferred its Innovation Institute (ISI) in Biosynthetics and Fibers to the UFRJ Science Park.
Structured in four technological research platforms and on a competitive intelligence area, the SENAI CETIQT Innovation Institute will have 3.500 m2 to house state-of the-art laboratories of Biotechnology, Process Engineering, Chemical Transformation and Fibers and will receive an investment of 70 million reais in state-of-the-art equipment. With this planning and strategic investment, the future goal of the SENAI CETIQT Institute is to become, within five years, a national reference in innovation in the areas of biotechnology, intensification of the chemical and technical textile processes, focusing on the circularity and sustainability in the chemical and textile chain.
